We started our venture with the desire to create collars and leashes to match our companions’ grace and beauty. Items of substance that are worthy of our friends; collars that can take a licking at the beach or the park and leashes that become more beautiful with age. Accessories that are a pleasure to look at and handle day after day.

Handcrafted in our own workshop by our master craftsmen, Balpucci collars and leashes are exquisite, unusual, a joy to touch and use. Apparent in the buttery feel of all Balpucci leather is the care that we place on selecting only the finest leathers, which are tanned in small lots to ensure superior quality.

Heidi McLaughlin, Balpucci’s designer and owner is an architect by trade and grew up helping in her father’s veterinary practice. Her esthetics, technical acumen and knowledge of dogs blend together perfectly. The results are not only visually remarkable, but also ergonomically correct. From the convertible leashes (all leashes are designed to be converted into short leashes with an extra snap), to the superior quality of our hardwearing hardware and – dare we say it again – the rich feel of our leather, we give importance to even the smallest detail.
